TWENTY NINE DIGITAL PRINTERS - ARTWORK GUIDELINES
General Artwork specifications
Twenty Nine Digital accepts only HI/RES PDF artwork with the following specifications:
• Photos and images - Minimum resolution 300dpi @ final print size
• All colours should be in CMYK format
• All fonts should be outlined or embedded in the file
• Minimum bleeds 2mm throughout or 5mm for booklets
• Crop & bleed marks included
General Design and Printing Tips
Text and non-bleed images should always be kept at least 3mm from trim line.
Thin borders on 2 sides artwork are not recommended due to 1-2mm movement in the printing and finishing process. It is difficult to produce an even border on 2 sides for this reason.
Folding & Scoring
To minimise cracking on folded jobs we recommend scoring on fold lines.
Rich Blacks
We strongly recommend you use CMYK Rich Black on large areas of black to ensure a nice solid result. A good mixture for CMYK Rich Black on:
• Heavier Stock weights use 60C/50M/50Y/100K
• Lighter stock weights use 30C/0M/0Y/100K
Business Card Artwork Setup
Please supply your artwork in one single PDF file
For 2 sided business cards
• Front (page 1)
• Back (page 2)
Note: Gloss and Matt Lamination on 1 side will always be treated to page 1 of your document.
For Business Cards with Spot UV 1 side
• Front (page 1)
• Back (page 2)
• Spot UV of page 1 (page 3) - marked the spot colour as SPOT UV
Booklet Artwork Setup
Please ensure you supply your artwork to us as individual pages in the PDF, not as spreads eg. a 16pp booklet should be supplied as one PDF with 16 pages in correct order.
Our pre-press experts will imposed the booklets for you. Allow a minimum of 5mm bleed on all edges. Booklet "creep" will o cur during finishing so we recommend you keep text and non-bleed images at least 1o0mm from the trim line.
